who are you in 25 words or less?
32 year old married woman with one child (fox), one dog (jones) and two cats (shen and scout) who loves hanging out with her family, doing yoga, hiking or cooking when not shooting.

we love “photojournalism”, do you do that?
quite simply, I just do what I do. If you have spent some time browsing my site, you should have a pretty good idea of my style. If that’s a yes or no question, I’d have to lean towards no. why? because IIlovet for portraits! I really do love capturing the story of your day, and do mostly document it unobtrusively like any assignment photographer would, but honestly my favorite thing to shoot is the portraits. I ask for a half hour for my couples alone and during that time, the portraits are directed. As much as I love all the little moments that will naturally happen throughout the day and which of course I’ll be there to capture, I also love slowing down during the portrait time to guarantee some beautiful portraits. I do tend to “direct” rather than “pose”, meaning I give you loose suggestions and your interpretation of that direction keeps your portraits very natural and very “you”. I love using light and composition rather than cheesy poses and weird effects in photoshop, to make the image better than reality. I want your images to evoke all the emotion of that day.

how many weddings a year do you shoot?
no more than 25. that number allows me to give a ton of myself to my clients and still have plenty of time for my family. I love all my clients but sorry my family comes first.

do you travel?
of course! to any location you want me to!

can I send you tear sheets from magazines showing you what pictures we like the best?
look at my website, look at my albums, do you connect with my work? My eyes are filters through which your day will be captured and preserved. If you don’t connect with my work, don’t hire me! Keep looking until you find that photographer whose vision makes you swoon! Of course I’m not for every couple, but if I’m for you, then please trust me to use my eye and heart as my guide.

what are your turnaround times?
give me 6-8 weeks. If you are lucky you’ll get them sooner.

people who connect with my work and me and are willing to wear their hearts and souls on their sleeves.

how do we retain your services?
i am yours for your date once I receive your contract and a retainer for 25% of your contract amount.
